Community support worker

We work with community and disability support providers and resthomes throughout Wairarapa to find kind, caring, capable and reliable staff who have excellent communication skills & a genuine desire to help and support people. This position requires you to have a Restricted or Full licence as you will drive your own car (petrol allowance paid) to assist people in their own homes. You will follow a care plan which will include varied and interesting tasks like: meal preparation, personal cares like assisting with showering & toileting, home management & assistance with dressing and mobility.

Clients are of all ages - they may be elderly, have an intellectual or physical disability or be recovering from illness or surgery.

Additionally, this job comes with workplace assessed pay progressive NZQA qualifications.

The fortnightly roster requires you to work every alternate weekend.

You must be willing to undergo Police vetting and additional checks in order to be considered for this position. Additionally, there is online training to be completed prior to your first day of work. Must have a reliable car.
