Shop Assistant

Assist customers with purchases and provide product recommendations - Maintain store appearance, including merchandising and stock management - Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently - Restock shelves and manage inventory - Develop knowledge of products, including wine, beer, and spirits - Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales goals - Maintain a safe and secure store environment - Follow health and safety standards Requirements: - 6 months of retail experience (liquor industry experience an asset) - Ability to pass liquor license, drug and character check - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends - Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits (training provided)

Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods. Rostered between the store opening hours from 09:30 AM to 09:30 PM or 10 PM on Friday/Saturday. The successful candidate will work primarily in Christchurch but from time-to-time travel to Hokitika when short staffed. Company will reimburse.
