Are you up for the challenge of a Marlborough harvest! This opportunity to work as a Cellar Hand offers a 7-week minimum contract with long vintage hours of up to 12-hour shifts during peak, with rostered days off. Minimum hours of 32 hours per week will be offered in the periods before and after harvest. Pay rate is $26-$28 per hour depending on experience. Shiftwork is required during the peak of harvest, and a meal is provided each day over this time. Cellar Hand duties include grape receival, processing and pressing, flotation and filtration, racking and transfers, additions and innoculations, red wine management, barrel management, general cellar and equipment hygiene and forklift and front-end loader operation. The Employer is happy to assist with finding accommodation if required. Vintage positions will commence early March. Transport is also provided to and from work from Blenheim.
Job Requirements
You will need to be a reliable team player with a can-do attitude. Hard working with a reasonable level of fitness. H & S conscious, with an ability to communicate effectively in English. A full NZ Drivers Licence, practical experience in a production environment and experience operating a forklift would be a great asset.
