Orchard Quality Control

An orchard with blocks in Lower Moutere, Tasman, and Mariri is seeking an Orchard Quality Controller for apple harvest, starting approx. 7 March through to early May. Some weekend work will be required. This role involves inspecting picked apples in the field, against specific variety standards and recording data, communicating to the apple pickers and reporting to the Orchard Manager. Applicants do not need previous experience as training will be provided but they will need to be; physically fit as the position does require being on your feet most of the day, a good eye for detail, good English and communication skills, ability to get along with others and also be assertive with a wide variety of people. Reliable transport required to travel between block locations.
Job Requirements
Full training provided but experience in apples and grading is an advantage. Own transport required.

- Hours of work 7am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, possible Sunday work if weather slows the harvest (50 hours per week)
