A nation wide employer is looking for cleaning/attendant staff for the Te Kuiti hospital permanent full-time and casual staff. The employer is looking for an energetic experienced person, with the availability to work between Monday to Sunday & who enjoys a challenge and working in a Hospital’s Environment. The role's key focus is to schedule and manage delivery of cleaning & soft services and Orderly / Security services to our clients. Roster available - Monday to Thursday from 2300 - 0730 The Position: • Cleaning within Hospital environment, bathrooms, kitchens, offices, meeting rooms, clinics etc. • Linen and waste disposal, equipment handling. • Collection/delivery of patient notes with full confidentiality • De-escalation and ensuring the safety of healthcare workers, visitors and patients. • Security of client premises and property • Transport of deceased person • Requires self-motivation and integrity to work autonomously. • Requires good time management to complete tasks to a high standard. • Delivery of excellent customer services and positive communication to all customers • To undergo Hepatitis B screening • Requires a team worker with individual competence and maturity. • Provides work with a purpose. • Able to work weekends and some split shifts. Minimum Criteria: • Some experience in cleaning will be an advantage but full training will be provided. • Previous Security/Orderly experience in a healthcare setup is preferred however required training will be provided. • Full MOJ clearance • Self-motivated and can demonstrate initiative on the job. • Professional presentation and customer service • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Be physical fit and healthy. • Have a good eye for detail and pride in your work. • Be reliable, honest, and sensible. • Covid vaccination proof (at least 2 doses + booster) Attendant basically involves: ensuring the chopper (helicopter) pad is clear , meeting choppers for patient transfers, collecting and delivering mail and courier parcels, fetching medical files when needed, fetching medical gas/oxygen bottles when required, moving patients at times (beds or wheelchairs), delivering blood samples to the lab there. There will be a requirement that the ideal candidate get certified (employer pays for this course) with COA so they also double as on site security – which is just de-escalating situations, calling police, making sure everyone is safe. Job Requirements
With no COA certificate starting rate is $24 per hour (plus penal rates when applicable). Rate increases with either NZQA cleaning/Attendant certificate levels achieved or with COA. The employer is currently looking for someone to cover Monday - Thursday 2300 - 0730. Vaccination is a requirement for this vacancy as it is within healthcare.
