We are looking for 4 people to cover Quality Control during our apple harvest on the Riwaka Orchard. This is a Casual contract that will run late March (to be confirmed) through to end of harvest window, expected to be about 3 weeks. Experience is preferred however full training can be provided to the right people. It is vitally important that the QC’s are punctual and dependable. The QC will be regularly bending over into the bins and checking the quality, colour and any defects of the fruit. The QC must also be continuously observing the trees and picker behaviour, which requires a high standard of attention to detail and reporting to the Supervisor.

Job Requirements

Role requires going from bin to bin in the orchard and conducting quality checks on each bin. You must have a very good level of fitness as it involves walking for 9 hours a day. You must also be competent on a Tablet & Phone (which are provided) to record all the data from the QC checks throughout each day. A high level of organisation is required the ability to prioritise tasks.

Days of work
Hours are Monday to Saturday 7.30am to 5.00pm (54 hours per week)
