As a Bar Manager at The Rusty Morris, you will be a key player in crafting the unique atmosphere of our bar. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and creative individual who can lead our bar team in providing exceptional service and innovative drink experiences. Key Responsibilities: • Bar Operations: Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and quality control. • Menu Development: Collaborate with our mixologists and management team to curate an exciting and diverse beverage menu that complements our culinary offerings. • Customer Experience: Ensure an outstanding customer experience by training and motivating staff to deliver exceptional service. Address customer feedback and concerns promptly and professionally. • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff. Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and high morale. • Quality Control: Monitor the quality and consistency of beverages served, ensuring they meet The Rusty Morris standards. Conduct regular tastings and inspections. • Inventory and Cost Control: Implement effective inventory control measures to minimise wastage and maintain optimal stock levels. Monitor costs and profitability, making data- driven decisions to maximise revenue. • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, including the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act, and uphold responsible alcohol service practices.

Qualifications and Skills: • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or similar role in a reputable bar or restaurant. • Exceptional knowledge of craft cocktails, spirits, beers, and wines. • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Knowledge of industry trends, innovative mixology techniques, and beverage presentation. • Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of service. • Must have Managers Certificate

Job Requirements

1 year minimum working as a Duty Manager for a Bar Current Managers Certificate required

Days of work
15-20hrs per week Operating hours are Tuesday - Sunday 9am - close (10-11pm) so hours will be rostered during these times (20 hours per week)
