Maintenance Technician

An Healthcare provider is looking for a Maintenance Technician to work across 2 sites - Mangere and Waiuku

The primary responsibilities include maintaining and repairing building equipment, conducting safety and temperature checks, responding to emergency calls, and maintaining medical equipment such as hospital beds and wheelchairs. The role also involves performing gardening duties, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, completing and reporting compliance checks, and participating in team health and safety meetings. Additionally, the job requires following the maintenance workers' roster, assisting the Maintenance Manager, participating in equipment trials, and liaising with the Care Home Manager to provide progress reports and address any maintenance or health and safety risks.

• Min 3+ years of experience in a maintenance/handyperson role is a must • Can work unsupervised • Physically fit as physical work is required • Demonstrable commitment to workplace health and safety • Ability to proactively identify health and safety hazards • Teamwork and effective communication skills • Effective and efficient work practices • Ability to cope using technology and keep on top of paperwork • Strong customer service ethic • Ability to relate to Unit Managers, staff, residents and families • Mechanical aptitude and dexterity • Hold Current full driver's license • A New Zealand Citizen or Resident or hold a valid work visa Certifications: • Must have a test and tag certificate • Must have Essential First Aid Training & Workplace first Aid • Ideally have At Heights Training certificate • Ideally have Chemical Safety training certificate
