Processing, Packing floor, Forklift & Freezer staff

A local Te Kuiti based Meat Processing Factory seeks Meat Processing Workers for the packing floor, processing floor, Freezers and 1x forklift driver.

Applicants must pass a health and drug check and have reliable transport to get to work. You will be psychically fit, a team player, strong, good hygiene practises and be able to stand for long periods of time. Although experience is ideal the employer has a great training plan for all new staff.

Role details are as follows:

Processing floor, you will work a 7-day roster working 4 days on 2 days off 6:30am – 5:45pm. This role involves breaking down the carcass, cutting and preparing meats according to customer specification.

Packing floor, you will work a 7-day roster working 4 days on 2 days off 6:15am – 6pm. This role involves packing product to customer requirements, completing appropriate checks to quality requirements and working as part of a team.

Forklift driver, This role is varied working 2 days forklift driving and 2 days in various other departments. To be successful candidates must hold a current OSH Forklift Licence and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Full training will be provided, some physical work required with you needing to stack some products and ensure products are safely loaded onto forklift.

Freezers, you will work a 7-day roster working 4 days on 2 days off 6:15am – 6pm. This role involves stacking and sorting cartons for specific customers. Identifying products and sorting it to overseas requirements. Scanning and counting product to leave the store. In this role you will need to work in a cold environment. Hours vary dependant on the shift you are working Day Shift – 6am – 3pm approx. Night Shift – 2pm – finish times vary as it is due to stock. The supervisor is ideally looking for a mature candidate to fill these freezers positions.
