This role is responsible for assisting with the accurate processing of supplier’s invoices and payments to ensure that all accounts payable financial transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities include: - Accurate processing of invoices - To prepare and execute payment runs - Reconcile accounts payable transactions and reconcile discrepancies - Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures - Liaise with the organisation's centres for their account’s payable needs - Deputising for Accounts Payable Team Leader when required.

Job Requirements

- At least 2 years’ practical experience in, and understanding of, accounts payable especially in a high transaction turnover environment - Verifiable working knowledge of NFP or public sector accounting - Knowledge of TechnologyOne Financials or similar accounting package is an advantage - A sound working knowledge of NZ GST, especially in a large, complex organisation that includes mixed-use premises and zero-rated transactions - Familiarity with Charities Act 2005 and requirements for registered charities under the Charities Services framework - Understanding of rules to process and claim IRD-approved donations, incl tax credits for donors and GST implications for charities Precise record-keeping to meet NZ’s legal and audit requirements, incl annual performance reports - Accuracy in tracking and reconciling donations, grants, operational expenses - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Computer literate with excellent spread sheeting and good word processing skills
