About this job
Dairy farm assistant min 1 year. experience. 500 cows 33 aside herringbone. Are you confident in all Dairy farming operations including but not limited to milking process, plant hygiene, somatic cell count, tractor driving, use of implements etc, irrigation management, effluent management, assist with calving to achieve minimal loss and ensure high quality replacements for the herd? Assist with weed and pest control along with fertiliser application. Report/Record any incidents, unwell animals, herd records, and contribute to the Farm Business plan by assisting the Farm manager to manage repairs and maintenance for all plant machinery and infrastructure and assist in meeting all regulatory (council etc)requirements to a high standard.
10 days on 2 days off, 7 days on 3 days off roster.
3 bedroom home provided ,farm located rural Dargaville, not to far from schools and our main centre to be able to access amenities easily. Great school nearby in a supportive rural community with great beach and fishing spots close by.
Job Requirements
Clients must be drug free, physically fit and pass a MOJ. Min 1 year experience . Must be able to preform tasks listed in Job description.
