We are seeking a Senior Analyst. Ministerial Advisory Group in Wellington.

You'll be expected to do: • Strategic Planning: Support the development and delivery of MAG’s planning activities • Research: Provide in-depth knowledge to inform advice for MAG and the Minister, and develop and execute a research work programme • Organisational Responsibilities: Promote a safe and healthy workplace, aligning with Customs Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies, and demonstrate the organisation’s values and procedures • Cultural Awareness: Incorporate Te Reo Maori and Tikanga appropriately in the workplace and meetings • Advice & Support: Assist the Principal Advisor and MAG members with research materials and insights • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Customs, Police, and other relevant agencies, and work collaboratively with MAG members and teams.

Job Requirements

Key Qualifications: • Proven experience in a similar role with expertise in research and evaluation • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage risks and create innovative solutions • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex information to diverse audiences • Skilled in building and maintaining internal and external relationships, fostering rapport and collaboration • Highly organized, with the ability to manage work and documentation efficiently to meet required standards • Experienced in project or advisory teams, using project management principles to achieve high standards and meet deadlines • Tertiary qualification (minimum Bachelor's level) in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

You will need to meet below criteria to be successful: - Clear MOJ - Pass drug test - Must be a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident who has resided in NZ for the last five years
