We are seeking a Principal Policy Analyst. Ministerial Advisory Group in Wellington CBD.
Role Accountabilities include: • Strategic Planning & Advice: Support the development and delivery of MAG’s planning activities, providing strategic insights and in-depth knowledge to inform advice to the MAG and Ministers. Generate insights, identify common themes, and create reports and Ministerial briefings. • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with agencies and stakeholders, and work collaboratively -cross agency. • Organisational Responsibilities: Ensure a safe and healthy workplace, align with the organisational values and policies, and promote the use of Te Reo Maori and Tikanga in the workplace.
We are seeking an individual who is innovative, an effective communicator, collaborator across diverse stakeholder groups, political nous, results and detail orientated and adaptable.

Job Requirements
Key Qualifications: • Proven experience in Principal Advisor roles within government • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and risk management skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly • Ability to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships • Highly organized, with the ability to manage work and documentation efficiently • Experience working within project or advisory teams, achieving excellence and meeting objectives • Tertiary qualification (Bachelor’s level or equivalent) or relevant experience
You will need a: - Clear MOJ - Pass drug test - Must be a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident who has resided in NZ for the last five years
