Coolstore Manager

Golden Bay Fruit Packers Limited is a family owned and operated business that packs and sells apples and kiwifruit around the world. With the same owners also being orchardists, there is a secure supply of fruit and with marketing staff offshore, this vertically integrated business continues to expand from its Motueka base. The company is now seeking a highly experienced Coolstore Manager to join the Motueka based team to oversee the Queen Victoria Street complex. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for leading Airstore operations, including the process of submissions, coolstorage and the loadout of packed product. Applicants must have a sound knowledge of ‘best practice’ coolstore management with a focus on continuous improvement, preferably with a background in apples and kiwifruit storage. Experience working with compliance systems and a proactive approach to health and safety are essential attributes. The successful candidate will have demonstrated good planning and people management skills in their previous roles and will ideally hold a current forklift operator’s certificate.

TTo be successful in this role you must also have: • Sound experience using inventory and logistics management software • Confidence using excel spreadsheets • A commitment to teamwork and being solutions focused • Flexibility around working extended hours during the harvest season.

This is a key management position for the business with plenty of potential for growth as the company looks to invest in new projects.
