• Take care of daily food preparation and duties to meet the standard and quality • Estimate daily production needs and check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met • Ensure production preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times • Preparing and cooking food; seasoning food during cooking; portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes; • Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements; • Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality; • Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation receiving storage and sanitation • Full awareness of all menu items recipes methods of production and presentation standards • Responsible for hygiene safety and correct use of equipment and utensils • Ensure the kitchen environment is clean and tidy • To produce own work in accordance with deadlines • Periodically check the expiry date and proper storage of food items in the section • Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities; • Abide and enforce health codes and cleanliness standards in the kitchen and food storage areas • Ensure plating accuracy garnishing portion size and correct serving dish • Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment; • Cleaning oven, deep fryer and big dipper are part of the duties and must be followed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis • Unscheduled kitchen cleaning tasks will also need to be performed under the instructions of management • may train other kitchen staff and apprentices • Comply with health and safety regulations

Job Requirements

We are looking for a person who has completed at least senior secondary school. This individual should be capable of working under general supervision, taking responsibility for their own learning and performance, and collaborating effectively with others. Additionally, they should possess strong literacy and numeracy skills. Or at least one year of relevant experience

Days of work
Rostered between 6:30am to 4:30pm, 7 days a week, so your flexibility to work early, long and weekend shifts is a must. (30 hours per week)
