A Wellington Provider is looking for a Rangatahi Building Programme Tutor.
You will be delivering engaging hands on training sessions on building and construction skills, hand tools, electric tools and techniques.
Facilitating workshops and assessments that meet the BCATS Level 1 and 2 unit standards.
Ensuring lessons are tailored to Rangatahi needs, incorporating both practical and theoretical content.
Conducting regular assessments, reporting participant outcomes and challenges to the Programme Manager.

Job Requirements
• Understanding of tikanga Maori, and a commitment to Kaupapa Maori values. • Relevant building and construction qualifications eg: BCITO certifications, trade apprenticeship or similar. • Proven experience in the building and construction industry. • NZQA Assessor or equivalent or willingness to obtain is desirable, experience teaching or mentoring youth particularly Maori Rangatahi. • Basic proficiency in Te Reo Maori or willingness to learn. • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety standards. • Must be able to pass a Police check. • Updated CV and Cover Letter Required.
- Days of work
- Mon-Fri but must be flexible to work to work evening or weekends as needed. Fulltime Fixed term Jan- April 2025 (30 hours per week)
