A new apple orchard is being established with work commencing on 125ha of bare land from mid January 2025.

This property is situated approximately 27 km north east of Ashburton and 30 km from Rakaia. Our employer is looking for people who are physically fit, reliable and hardworking to assist with constructing trellises supports to grow the apple trees on to. Initially a 3 to 6 month contract but could lead to longer periods of employment for the right people.

People with previous back issues will not be considered due to the nature of the work.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidates need to be reliable and hardworking, and must be physically fit. A Team player with a great attitude and willingness to get the job done. Capable of handle repetitive tasks and able to follow instructions. Would need the minimum of a full class 1 drivers licence and reliable transport. Previous outdoor experience would be an advantage. Hours of work are listed as a minimum of 40 per week but will probably be greater than this - to be advised. People with previous back issues will not be considered due to the nature of the work.
