About this job
* Preparing and cooking a wide range of Indian dishes, South Indian & Hyderabadi dishes to a consistently high standard * Achieving all safety, hygiene, and food quality targets as per Hutt city Council standards * Planning menu, estimating food and labour costs and ordering food supplies * Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation * Discussing food preparation issues with Restaurant managers and kitchen and waiting staff * Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures * Freezing and preserving foods as per Hutt city Council requirements * Be innovative in introducing new dishes to uplift sales * Assist in selecting and training kitchen staff
Job Requirements
Must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience or a relevant level 2 qualification in Hospitality/Cookery
To be eligible for this role, you must be a NZ Citizen/Resident or an eligible work visa holder.
