Home Care Support Worker

Home Support North is Northland’s largest provider of in-home care and support services. We provide essential services to make daily life easier, including personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping. They have Clients in Whangarei and Waipu area needing help getting to appointments, doing shopping or heading to the gym and and are hiring assistants NOW.

Your duties include helping with household management, making daily life easier with shopping and meal preparation, offering nourishment through feeding assistance, providing dignity through showering and toileting support, elevating lives with assistance in everyday tasks, fostering connections by supporting community activities and ensuring comfort through personal care supervision.

Applicants will share their availability via the App and appointments will be provided within that availability, but applicants need to be willing and able to work across all 7 days of the week, including at least 1 x weekend day. Hours worked usually fall within the times of 7am starts to 7pm finishes. Hours worked can be from 10hrs pw all the way up to 60hrs pw, based on availability.

1- Have own Smartphone in order to install and use the required App. 2- Have minimum of Restricted driver licence. 3- Own car needed to get to client homes- the App will calculate your mileage reimbursement automatically. 4- Be fit and healthy enough for the tasks as heavy lifting may be required, and there will be a Health Check assessment for shortlisted applicants. 5- Be able to pass Police Vetting Checks 6- Be willing and able to work across all 7 days of the week, including at least 1 x weekend day. 7- Be eligible to legally work in NZ 8- Applications are to be completed via the link provided, once shortlisted.
