A construction company in South Auckland is looking for Excavator Operators to join their team.

Responsibilities:

Using equipment and tools effectively to perform required tasks. Remove dirt from the building area. Unload excavator in the appropriate area. Coordinate with other workers to determine dig sites. Conduct routine maintenance on your equipment. Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials. Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment. Observing stipulated safety codes at all times. Communicating with coworkers to elucidate project specifications, as needed. Reporting injuries and other accidents to the Manager. Advising the Manager of requisite upgrades, repairs, and replacements. Aiding coworkers to ensure that the site is clean and organized at the end of each shift. Providing suggestions to refine workflow and boost efficiency.

Job Requirements

Must have Class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 license. Must have minimum 2 years experience in similar field. Must be able to pass Ministry of Justice check. Must pass drug test. Physically fit to do heavy lifting. Able to work weekends as and when required.

Days of work
Mon to Fri: 8 am to 4 pm. Required to work occasional weekends depending on work demands. (30 hours per week)
