This January, a brand-new cafe is opening its doors, and we're on the lookout for a passionate and talented Chef to join our team. Our cafe is dedicated to serving delicious food and exceptional coffee in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. With a unique menu featuring a touch of Fiji Indian-inspired flavors and expertly crafted beverages, we're set to create a standout experience for our customers.

Your Role:

Culinary Excellence: Create and prepare a variety of cafe-style dishes, focusing on Fiji Indian-inspired flavors, including light meals, snacks, and baked goods. Menu Collaboration: Work closely with management to finalise the menu and bring your creative ideas to life. High Standards: Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, hygiene, and presentation. Quality Ingredients: Assist in sourcing fresh, high-quality ingredients to ensure a consistent and authentic menu. Smooth Operations: Set up and organise the kitchen for opening day, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. Team Support: Help train kitchen staff, if needed, to ensure everyone is on the same page.

About You:

You're a culinary artist with proven experience in a cafe or similar food environment, and you have a deep understanding of Fiji Indian flavors. Your creative approach to menu development and presentation, combined with a strong grasp of food safety and hygiene standards, makes you the perfect fit for our fast-paced, new environment. Culinary qualifications and relevant experience are a must.
