Tirohanga whanui – Overview He Kete Aronui is a Te Ao Maori whanau-centred initiative developed by members of the League. It is designed to work alongside whanau, supporting them to define their own wellbeing, achieve their goals, and realise their potential. The programme takes a strengths-based approach, focusing on the unique capabilities and aspirations of each whanau. Kaupapa - Purpose The purpose of the role is to provide the successful delivery of the He Kete Aronui whanau centred programme by supporting whanau, addressing their needs to build their confidence to achieve their goals and to journey alongside whanau, to grow into their roles as first teachers and nurturers. The Kaimahi will have a deep understanding of the current issues whanau face on a day-to-day basis, will focus on the strengths of whanau, be responsible for maintaining whanau data system, and develop and maintain relationships with whanau and our partners.
Job Requirements
To be considered you must align with the following:
- A clean, current full driver’s licence - Experience engaging with whanau Kaupapa Maori Values and Practices - Comfortable level of Te Reo Maori - Comfortable in navigating Te Ao Maori spaces and understanding our Maori value systems - Effective Communication & Teamwork Decision Making - Problem Solving Innovation - Initiative Relationship Management Knowledge - Knowledge of, MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel - Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
