Yard Operator

As a Yard Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organisation of materials within the yard. Your primary focus will be to ensure the accurate loading and unloading of pipe and fitting products, through the devanning of containers and preparation of orders. You will also maintain inventory control, assist with stock takes and support the overall logistics operations. All this will be done in accordance with company policies and procedures, MPI requirements whilst always adhering to company health and safety requirements. You will work closely with a collaborative team and report to the Branch Distribution Manager.

- Previous experience as a yard operator and Current Forklift Licence /operator's certificate would be an advantage. - An understanding of ordering, shipping, and freight processes. - A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and a continuous improvement focus. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a sense of humour. - A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a logical practical approach. - A high level of physical fitness for this active role. - Must be able to pass pre-employment MOJ and a drug test.
