Employer in Penrose is looking for a Dispatcher to join their team. The Dispatcher is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the dispatch office, ensuring smooth and efficient job scheduling, driver coordination, and customer service. Key Responsibilities: •Dispatch Coordination: Manage the daily dispatch activities, including scheduling, booking jobs, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is provided. •Driver and Route Management: Coordinate with drivers to ensure efficient and cost-effective routes, start times, and load allocations. Conduct regular check-ins with drivers to monitor progress and address issues. •Job Verification and Rebooking: Verify completed jobs against bookings and resolve discrepancies. Any incomplete jobs must be rebooked and communicated to all involved parties, including the sales team. •Customer Service: Answer calls and emails, keeping customers informed of job statuses, delays, or changes. Provide general office support and maintain clear communication with both customers and internal teams. •Reporting and Recordkeeping: Create and maintain reports related to daily tasks, driver activities, and vehicle registries. Manage driver documentation such as licenses, inductions, and training records. •Driver Support and Meetings: Prepare run sheets, organize and run toolbox meeting, and assist in the training of other dispatchers and drivers in the software tools used for dispatch. •Contingency Planning: Ensure a contingency plan is in place for absences to maintain uninterrupted service. Maintain regular communication with drivers, customers, and colleagues to ensure smooth operations. •Responsibility and Accountability: Take ownership of tasks and responsibilities, address issues immediately, and avoid passing blame. Daily Expectations: •Check-ins and Job Preparation: Ensure drivers are prepared for the next day’s jobs and address any potential issues ahead of time. •Issue Resolution: Handle discrepancies and job delays immediately, keeping customers and internal teams informed. •Coordination with Yard and Tools: Coordinate with yard staff for larger loads and verify paperwork If this is you, apply now!
