Farm Assistant

The Opportunity is based in Morrisville We have a farm assistant position available. We are milking 700 cross breed cows through herringbone shed . We run a system 3 with three herds and feed pad. The farm is located 15 minutes from Morrisville and 30 minutes from Cambridge. Milking Assist in efficient and hygienic milking routine. Follow procedure to produce high quality milk .Assist with cleaning and maintain the milking plant and farm dairy equipment and report any faults to senior staff. Assist in the safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. Assists with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by farm policy. spot and spraying weeds in the paddock with knapsack .Work well with others, building a strong team culture. Safely uses and maintains vehicles on farm as directed by on farm policy, Health, safety and wellbeing: Involved in building a health, safety and wellbeing culture. Shared accommodation provided on the farm

We are looking for a motivated Dairy Assistant who is keen to learn and progress in the industry. You will have strong work ethic. You can drive motorcycle and quad, Basic tractor skills would be advantage. We regularly do drug testing and strictly follow health and safety policy. Minimum hours 40 hours per week. Maximum 50 hours per week (Any hours over 40 hours per week will be paid as overtime)
