Reinforcing Steel Machinist
About this job
Reporting to the shift supervisor, you will be responsible for operating CNC coil machinery lines, fabricating cut and bend orders on day shift. Must be available to work Saturday mornings from time to time. Some manual bending will be required but majority is running CNC coil machinery lines.
Understand production detail sheets and specifications to determine material and job requirements Select method and sequence of operations, and machine settings & programming Check fabricated metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit Setting guides, stops and other controls on machining tools Diagnosing faults and reporting any maintenance requirements to the supervisor Accurately producing jobs with minimum waste Attention to detail and good numeracy Health and safety champion May suit candidates from these backgrounds Fitter/Turner Fitter/Welder General Engineering
Job Requirements
Experience running machinery Physically capable Available Saturday mornings (when needed) A valid driver’s license. Handle and treat machines with care. Handling materials with precision and care. Numeracy is essential for efficient operations. A proactive, positive mindset. Able to work independently. An unwavering commitment to safety protocols and standards. Clearing a drug test is a prerequisite. Own reliable transport, not on bus route.
