A Dairy Manufacturing company based in Pokeno specializing in infant formula is seeking for an experienced Production Operator to join their team in the canning department.
Key responsibilities: - Strictly follow designated operating procedures. - Take samples and fill out all appropriate documentation. - Communicate effectively with Management on problems, events that have taken place on shift and any abnormalities in running conditions without delay. - Explain the purpose and function of all the equipment therein, be aware of and eliminate all product losses immediately. - Operate forklift for supply of raw materials or other duties. - Prepare formulations accurately as appropriate, complying with safety standards as advised. - Assist in routine and shutdown maintenance. - Help develop procedures and manuals. - Participate in training and development. - Adhere to all environmental management policies and procedures and immediately report any non-compliances. - Participation in continuous improvement related activities relating to H&S and SOP’s. - To undertake delivery of product for export and contract manufacture. - Contribute to all Lean manufacturing practices. Suitable candidate must have at least 2 years’ experience as an operator within the Dairy Manufacturing Industry, specifically processing infant formula.

Must hold a full NZ Drivers licence Must have a forklift licence Must pass MOJ and pre-employment drug test Must be flexible with work hours Must be computer literate - exposure to ERP Systems Must have an understanding of the Lean Manufacturing Process FMCG Experience Experience in machinery repair and dispensary exposure
