Maintenance Attendant

As a Maintenance Attendant, you ware responsible for: * Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as plumbing repairs, electrical work, and HVAC system checks * Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities * Repair or replace damaged furniture, fixtures, and equipment, as necessary * Paint and touch up surfaces to maintain a clean and attractive appearance * Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, including evenings and weekends * Troubleshoot and repair issues such as leaks, power outages, and heating/cooling problems * Maintain a 24/7 on-call availability for emergency situations * Ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and hotel standards * Perform regular safety inspections and report any hazards or concerns * Assist with fire alarm system testing and maintenance * Maintain an organised inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment * Order necessary supplies to ensure the efficient operation of the maintenance department

* Have an understanding of BWOF (Building Warrant of Fitness) and Compliance Requirements, ensuring that all possible measures are taken to maintain this * Have an understanding of the building systems, including but not limited to water, sewerage, waste management, electrical, HVAC systems etc * Have an understanding of OH&S and WHS * Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or a related field, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment * Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general handyperson tasks * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail * Previous experience in Hotels preferred
