Class 2 Truck Driver – Upskilling Opportunities Location: Penrose Are you a reliable, safety-conscious professional with manual driving experience? We’re seeking a Class 2 Truck Driver to join our team, offering variety, upskilling, and a chance to develop your career with different classes of trucks. Key Responsibilities: •Operate Class 2 manual vehicles, including: -Box body trucks with tail lifts (primary vehicle). -3600L vacuum trucks (training provided). -Curtain siders and other vehicles as required. •Prioritize and adapt to urgent jobs while maintaining service quality. •Build strong working relationships with the dispatcher and clients. •Safely handle and transport Dangerous Goods (DG licence required). •Navigate customer sites efficiently and provide excellent service. •Perform physically demanding tasks: -Handle bins weighing up to 80kg or 250kg+ (with an offsider for larger bins). •Conduct basic vehicle maintenance checks, ensuring trucks remain in excellent condition (e.g., tire checks, fluid levels, cleanliness). •Adhere to Health & Safety (H&S) standards and company policies. •Assist in the yard as needed, including forklift operation (endorsement required). What You Bring: •Licence & Experience: -Full, clean Class 2 licence (mandatory). -Proven manual driving experience (essential). -Familiarity with navigating customer sites and operating a variety of trucks. •Endorsements: -Dangerous Goods and forklift endorsements (mandatory). •Skills: -Physically fit to handle demanding tasks in all weather conditions. -Competent in using phone/tablet for job management. -Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge (e.g., inspections, reporting issues). •Work Ethic: -Team player with a "can-do" attitude and a commitment to excellence. •Compliance: -Adherence to our drug and alcohol policy. -Clean MOJ check (no criminal record preferred).
