You must have had lived experience with homelessness and/or addictions.
We support the most marginalised communities with a range of purposeful services that reduce the risk of homelessness and increase connected and supportive communities.
They are looking for a Kaiawhina (peer worker) Piki te Ora, to join and support their team.
Duties include:
• Providing hospitality through making tea and coffee. • Outreach to engage with rough sleepers. • Building rapport. • Record keeping in database.

Job Requirements
• Level 4 training but not mandatory • Must have had an experience of homelessness and/or addictions. • Must be permanently housed. • Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility. • Able to engage and connect with whanau. • Able to carry out instructions. • Good level of literacy. • Respectful of the need for confidentiality. • Commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. • Be aware of and sensitive to cultural differences. • A willingness to proactively contribute to your team, by supporting your teammates and giving and receiving feedback. • An understanding of the importance of following safety policies and practices to keep everyone safe. • Willing to undertake training to upskill as needed. • Full Drivers licence. • Minor convictions are considered on a case by case basis
