You will be responsible for undertaking duties associated with the day-to-day operations of the waste transfer station while maintaining a high level of customer service. Key responsibilities include controlling the placement of waste and recyclables being deposited, operating onsite plant and equipment, direct traffic within the transfer station, and provide general information to customers, undertake general labouring duties as required, assist with general administrative duties as directed, and complete all records and paperwork accurately. Job Requirements
Advantageous to have knowledge of the operation and maintenance of the Transfer Station and associated equipment, some experience operating earthmoving equipment such as compactors, excavators, skid steers and loaders, and have some mechanical aptitude.
Able to be firm and fair with a wide range of customers.
You need to have a full licence, have basic computer knowledge, be able to work alone and in a team, and preferably have the following; a class 4 or the equivalent, WTR endorsements, and an OSH certificate, .
- Days of work
- Shift Work throughout the week. Monday - Sunday. Times variable between 8am and 6pm. (30 hours per week)
