A well-established automotive business with over 35 years of experience are seeking Trainee Automotive Fitters to join our team. Our focus on long-term development and culture means that we are committed to supporting the education and progression of our Trainee staff, which is key to our continued success.
Opportunity: This is a full-time Traineeship opportunity with no minimum progression time. Prove yourself and be rewarded quickly! You will work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm in a supportive environment with a renewed focus on learning and culture. This is a rare opportunity to start from scratch and build a genuine career.
You will receive uniforms and windscreen-specific tools, and penalty rates for any overtime. Qualified Fitter Level includes a fully equipped company vehicle and fuel card. In this role you will be working in the shop but may also at times be required to repair windscreens/auto glass at residential or commercial properties. You will get to work on a range of different cars, including luxury vehicles.
To be a good fit for this role, you should have the following qualities: • Reliability: Be ready to turn up every day, on time. • Attention to detail: Ability to focus on small details is essential. • Mechanically minded: Interest and passion for automobiles is preferred. • Strong learning aptitude: Willingness to learn and acquire new skills is essential. • Ability to troubleshoot/think on your feet: The role requires problem-solving skills. • Ability to use power tools: Basic knowledge of using power tools is essential. • Positive mindset and good for culture: We value a positive attitude and being a good team player. • Physically fit: The role requires physical activity. • Driver's license: Full class 1 and able to drive manual
