Truck Driver - Furniture Mover (Class 2)

A South Auckland based Transport company is looking for full time and permanent, hard-working and reliable Class 2 Truck Drivers. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a driving role, along with a strong focus on safety, customer service, and efficiency.

Job includes driving, packing, stowing and delivering household, commercial goods and personal effects throughout New Zealand. - Assist in physical task loading and unloading furniture and belongings (residential and commercial) onto the truck, require lifting heavy objects. - Responsible to move furniture and items from one location to another, safely and without damaging it. - Use caution while loading, unloading, and driving it and safely transport items to the designated locations. - Your job will also require you to maintain an inventory that tracks all the items that you’re moving for a customer. - It’s essential that this is as accurate as possible, as doing so will ensure that we don’t misplace or forget anything during our move. - Follow instructions provided by the team leader or supervisor. - Work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment. - Ability to operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. - Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

- At least 1 year of work experience in a driving role. - Valid and clean Class 2 driver license. - Availability to work on weekends and public holidays. - Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazardous conditions. - A customer-first approach with excellent communication skills. - Good fitness level for handling physical tasks. - Accountability for health and safety practices. - A clean character background. (Must pass MOJ check and drug test) - Adhere to speed limits (90 km/h) and always wear a seatbelt while driving. - Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods), as well as with company policies and procedures.
