Kitchen Assistant
About this job
Assist chefs with basic food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling simple dishes. Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency. Ensure that prepared food is stored correctly in line with food safety standards.
Job Requirements
Genuine passion for producing quality food products (especially seafood). Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and have a strong professional work ethic. Able to work as a versatile individual while offering value to the team environment. Ability to multitask and have effective time management skills. Ability to maintain high standards and monitor quality, taste, and presentation of each product as set out by management at all stages of preparation to presentation. Committed to highest standards of food hygiene and workplace health and safety Ability to offer top customer service as required. NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa Ideally you will already have at least two years of relevant experience in a comparable position and/or industry qualifications.
