Class 4 HIAB Driver

A Hamilton yard is seeking a skilled and dependable individual to join their team as a Class 4 HIAB Driver. This role combines both driving a Class 4 vehicle and operating a HIAB crane, primarily for the delivery and unloading of tires at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in both areas and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class 4 vehicle with a HIAB crane for the loading and unloading of tires at customer locations. • Ensure the proper handling and securement of goods during transportation, in compliance with safety protocols. • Maintain adherence to health and safety standards, minimising risks during all stages of loading, transport, and unloading. • Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance or mechanical concerns. • Communicate professionally with customers, ensuring smooth deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:

• Proven Class 4 driving experience with a minimum of 2 years behind the wheel. • Hands-on experience operating a HIAB crane. • Clean, valid Class 4 driver’s license. • Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including lifting and securing loads. • Flexible, adaptable, and committed to maintaining a strong work ethic. • Safety-first mindset with the ability to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks. • Ability to pass medical, police, and drug and alcohol checks. • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer interactions.
