The Checkout Assistant Manager is responsible for staffing and training, effective staff management and ensure delivery of excellent customer service.Must have a Health and Safety focus, achieve a safe working environment. Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers. Ensure that the customer service departments daily disciplines are completed to the agreed standard, maintain efficiency within customer service related areas - checkout and lotto areas. Effectively manage and motivate team,. Ensure all legislative requirements for the sale of liquor, tobacco and lotteries tickets are strictly adhered to. Provide a high level of customer service by keeping up to date with product knowledge, promotional information and providing accurate advice to customers. Compliance with Food Hygiene and Food Safety Standards.

Job Requirements

Maintain a high level of personal presentation and actively engage with customers. Must have some leadership experience, be a good communicator, decision maker, problem solver, reliable and enthusiastic.
