Urban Bus Driver

Undertake driving duties as instructed by the Operational Control Team. These will include, but are not restricted to, city and local bus routes.
Operate midi-buses, and full-sized urban buses in providing transportation for a range of customers. Drive allocated vehicle along specified routes as directed. Observes all safety rules and exercises good judgment in the operation of the vehicles. Assures that all vehicles are in a safe operating condition through specified checks and procedures. Keep Operational Control and Team Leader informed, by the two-way radio telephone (R.T), of any issues – such as late running, or overloading - which may affect the timetabled service. Account for all money collected, issue tickets and pay-in cash each day. Maintain clean buses daily and assure that all safety devices are in place and in good condition. Report all vehicle defects to the Operational Control Team immediately. Work shifts and rosters as directed, carrying out all shift duties and instructions, following Pavlovich Coachlines Policies and Procedures and the PEP Comply with all Health and Safety Standards. Safely operate vehicles over varying distances across urban routes and on primary roads at sustained legally allowed speeds, in a manner that fosters a safe and conscientious image to the public. Conducts safe and orderly loading and unloading of passenger at specified stops. Maintain discipline on the buses. Assures that the bus is always orderly, thus assuring passenger safety and comfort. Attend pre-service, in-service, and other required meetings pertaining to the tasks allocated. Perform routine operator care to include: washing the bus, if instructed; sweeping interior; checking equipment and reporting defects; and presenting bus for regularly scheduled maintenance. Job Requirements
Previous bus driving experience. Class 4 drivers licence P Endorsement Able to work shiftwork including broken shifts, weekends and public holidays. Able to perform simple mathematical calculations, read rosters, maps and timetables and follow route directions. High personal presentation standards. Able to self managing and complete tasks on time within a busy environment.
