Orchard Labourer
About this job
The purpose of this role is to weed in and around our blueberry bushes keeping the weeds away, so our rows are well maintained so they don’t hinder staff picking blueberries. During the spring/summer period weeds pop up and grow quickly due to the weather and irrigation we put on the plants. This requires us to have a full-time weeders. In this job you will be instructed on how we want the rows maintained. Each day you will be assigned a row and pull weeds and collect them in a trolley before dumping them onto a trailer at the end of your row. This role is repetitive and requires someone who’s committed to putting in the hours.
Job Requirements
No experience necessary but would be an advantage. Being physically fit as you will be bending over and working on the ground.
No transportation available at this time, Van service will be running during the summer Harvest Period departing from the main street of Roxburgh.
