About this job

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily life and to do the things they want to do such as going swimming, personal cares, support with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills. Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support with the potential of additional sleepover payments included in some rosters.

This is a full-time role but there are also part-time roles for leave cover available as well

Job Requirements

• Must have flexibility and availability to work rostered overnight shifts and rostered weekend shifts. • Prior experience is not essential as full training is provided. • Full driver's license and owning your own vehicle is essential. • A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes. • Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.

Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.

Days of work
Rostered shifts over weekdays, weekends and overnight. Must be available to meet the needs of rostered shifts. (35 hours per week)
