Multiple Supermarket Roles

We are looking for a Night Cleaner/Laundry Assistant, Checkout Operator and Supermarket Assistant to join us in Paraparaumu!

Night Cleaner/Laundry Assistant: • Operating heavy machinery • Keeping public and staff amenities clean and sanitary • Being on call to clean any spillages in the store. • Sweeping and mopping inside the store • Any other tasks that are part of the cleaning team This position requires a 3am start & days of work will be discussed at the time of interview.

Checkout Operator: • Provide exceptional customer service at the checkouts • Accurately scan products and pack into customer trolleys • Accurately complete point of sales transactions whether cash or eftpos based • Assisting with other tasks as directed by the Checkout Manager • Assisting across other areas of the store as required The checkout team operates during our opening hours of 7am to 10pm and therefore shifts are considered to be either early, mid or late.

Supermarket Assistant (Bakery): • Decorating and finishing baked goods - think icing, creaming, coating etc • Packaging and displaying products in the bakery area of our store • Assisting with other bakery tasks as directed by the Bakery Manager • Assisting across other areas of the store as required This is a part-time permanent role, with the scope to add more days in the future. Currently the need is Friday and Saturday 5:00am to 1:30pm.

We are looking for someone with the following: Night Cleaner/Laundry Assistant: • Physically fit, there is heavy lifting involved with this position. • Ability to work through the evening. • Good time keeping skills and reliability. • Can work unsupervised

Checkout Operator: • Be a reliable person with great time management • Have a passion for providing an exceptional customer experience • Be detail focussed and have good mathematic skills • Be physically fit - the role can be both busy and physically demanding (both volume and weight in products as well as the need to pack products which keeps you moving) • Follow health and safety policy, food safety policy and compliance procedures in the store. • Previous cash-handling or checkout experience is desirable

Supermarket Assistant: • Be a reliable person with great time management • Have a passion for baking and a desire to learn new skills • Be detail focussed and have an eye for presentation • Be physically fit, this role works in a commercial kitchen and requires you to be on your feet • Follow health and safety policy, food safety policy and compliance procedures in the store.
