This is a great opportunity to work closely with Pacific communities and community service providers to support the elderly community. This organisation is based in Otahuhu that have been advocating for the rights and wellbeing of older people in the Pacific community for over 20 years. Working intensively with families to strengthen bonds and promote wellbeing of individuals with a Strengths Based approach.
Your key responsibilities are listed below: -Information gathering and analysis at intake and investigation phases. - Planning, implementation and review of appropriate interventions, in conjunction with the supervisor, and where appropriate, an assigned co worker. All work for the client requires their consent - Participating in the processes of the Family Group Conference (FGC) and those tasks which follow an FGC - Following legislative requirements and adhere to Child, Young Persons' and Their Families Service Act 1989, the Public Finance Act 1989, and with other relevant legislation and regulations
Ideal candidate is someone who consider themselves an excellent multi-tasker and ability to self-motivate and work well independently as well as part of a team. Must have exceptional people and communication skills.

Job Requirements
A qualification in social work with full Social Work Registration is preferred. An experienced Social Worker at level 7 or higher and working towards full registration could be considered. Must have a full driver licence and pass MOJ/police check. Ability to speak Tongan, Samoan or Pacific language is highly beneficial.
