Mobile Patrols Security Officer - Christchurch (Casual)

A Security company is looking for Casual Night Shift Mobile Patrols Security officer to look after the industrial and commercial properties at West side of Christchurch and/or Selwyn area.

Job Responsibilities: *Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates. *Attend to alarms and investigate disturbances. *Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises. *Report activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, the presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. *Liaise with emergency services. *Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property

Sshifts will be available either on Friday or Sunday, with the possibility of additional shifts to cover for annual and sick leave as needed. Each shift will be 12.25 hours.

*You will need to be fit, willing and able to walk approximately 15,000 – 25,000, potentially up to 30,000 steps a night, which is roughly 10-20km. *Previous security experience is not a must but will be an added advantage. *This role require a valid Security Certificate of Approval (COA) *You must have the Full Driver Licence as you need to drive the company car. *Available to work nightshifts and flexible with the shift scheduling. *You must be able to pass a police check and pre-employment drug test
