Support Worker

Auckland based employer is seeking for Support Workers. The job will be around the South Auckland region.
Key responsibilities: • Provide personal support to individuals in their own home in accordance with care plans and preferences. • Assist with personal cares, meal preparation, medication administration and household tasks. • Duties vary depending on client's individual needs, some tasks are likely to also include the need to promote independence and social inclusion by facilitating community outings, recreational activities and social interactions. • We require someone who can build positive relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive and collaborative environment. Ideal candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, must have empathy, patience and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs. Be clear spoken with a willingness to undergo relevant training and development.

Job Requirements
Must hold a clean full Drivers Licence Must have at least 12 months of relevant work experience or Health and Wellbeing level 3 (or equivalent). Must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team Must pass a Ministry of Justice Check
