Orchard Supervisor

We are seeking a full-time supervisor to work in and oversee our Whakatane and Opotiki based kiwifruit business. The successful candidate will: supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the company and report to the Manager/Director. Duties include but are not limited to: Planning and preparing work schedules and assigning staff to specific duties under manager’s supervision, working together with the manager to maintain long- term marketing strategies, respond to grower complaints in a quick and positive manner. You will also monitor the performance of the staff and be responsible for the supervision of all staff focusing on their performance in terms of standards of company and their behaviour whilst on duty. In doing so, you will ensure that first class customer service is delivered to all areas of the sites whilst monitoring of all activities in business. You will also ensure that appropriate standards of behaviour in the work environment are maintained, be involved in part of the interviewing, training, promoting staff, and resolving staff grievances. The role will require you to report on time for equipment, materials, and production keeping records and preparing estimates of business needs.
