Hospitality Worker

CANTERBURY/TIMARU: Our hotel in Fairlie requires a Hospitality Worker to become part of our great team. Do you have a passion for hospitality? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

We require that amazing Hospitality Allrounder to come on board.

Duties include but are not limited to: • Bar Work. • Serving Customers. • Waiting on Tables. • Helping in the kitchen when required. • Driver courtesy coach at night dropping customer’s home. • Taking Orders. • Cash Handing. • Being responsible for the liquor laws and enforcing them.

Days and hours: • Days and hours of work will vary depending on your rotating rosters, as we are open 7 days a week. (You will be given two days off together). • 30 hours plus week.

Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour. Pay is dependant on your experience.

Accommodation at the hotel may be provided to the suitable applicant.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • A clean Full Class 1 Drivers Licence. • You must be able to pass a police check and pre-employment drug test, as part of the employment process. • Have 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. • Need to be a person working in the industry who is must be capable of getting there LCQ or already hold the qualification. After 6 months of working at LCQ level can go for General Manager's certificate. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Have an outgoing personality. • You must be willing to work and turn up when required. • Hold New Zealand citizenship or have New Zealand Permanent Residency. • Positive attitude, good communication skills, honest and reliable. • Knowledge of gaming machines would be beneficial, but not essential.
