Kiwifruit summer orchard workers
About this job
A local Te Puke contractor is looking for summer orchard workers for people who enjoy outdoor work, motivated and a good team player.
Duties include flower thinning, bud thinning, fruit thinning, crush tipping, male pruning, and summer pruning.
This work involves being on your feet and working above head and shoulders height for long periods of time therefore a good level of fitness is required.
This work is weather dependant with up to 5 to 6 days of work available. For health and safety reasons, closed footwear must be worn on-orchard – gumboots are suitable.
Tools are provided by the employer and training is provided.
You will be required to have secured accommodation within daily distance to the location area prior to applying.

Job Requirements
Prior experience in agriculture, preferably horticulture, will be an advantage but training will be provided. You must be physically fit, punctual and willing to work hard, as well as be able to follow instructions. You must be able to pass a drug test and police check.
