We are looking for Construction/Civil Labourers to join our busy Hawke’s Bay based team in full-time permanent roles. As a Construction/Civil Labourer on a day-to-day basis you’ll be: • Handling construction materials, tools and equipment and moving them between sites as required • Working with concrete and other construction materials including preparation and placement • Manual labouring including digging holes, shovel and broom work, wheelbarrow work and loading and unloading from trucks • Using ladders and other equipment to carry out work tasks • Erecting/dismantling temporary structures such as barricades and safety fencing • Completing site preparation work such as spreading, levelling and compacting of soil, gravel and other materials for foundations, driveways or roads • Assisting with general construction works e.g. installing fixtures & fittings, boxing

You will be adaptable, able to carry out a variety of tasks, and have the following: • Full Class 1 drivers’ licence • Great people and communication skills • Be physically fit and able to safely carry out physical work • Be able to work in a team as well as unsupervised • A commitment to working safely and minimising the impact of our work on the environment • Be reliable and punctual • At least one years’ relevant work experience • NZQA Level 1 qualification or compulsory secondary education.
