Gardener/ Grounds Person

Matamata based employer seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Gardener/Grounds Person to join their team. If you have a passion for gardening and grounds maintenance and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities: • Gardening: Perform a variety of gardening tasks including pruning, weeding, seasonal detailing, and planting. • Turf Care: Conduct hand and ride-on mowing, along with weed and pest management. • Renovations: Clear hard surfaces of leaf litter and debris; install and repair irrigation systems. • Tree Maintenance: Carry out minor maintenance on amenity trees and hedge trimming. • Weed Management: Utilise organic sprays for effective weed control. • Monitoring: Regularly check for plant pests and diseases to ensure healthy growth. • Client Interaction: Engage with clients and property users to address garden requests and queries. • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, providing support and fostering a friendly, productive work environment.

• Positive, proactive, and hardworking attitude. • Excellent people skills for effective client interaction. • Good level of fitness and physical ability, with the capability to use outdoor hand and power tools. • Full, clean NZ driver's license and own transport. • First aid and Grow-safe certificates are beneficial, but we are willing to up-skill the right candidate. • Must be able to pass a police check and drug test.
