Maintenance Engineer
About this job
Invercargill employer located close to the CBD are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. You will be working a rotating roster with four other engineers to provide cover over between plant hours of 4.00am – 11.00pm Monday – Friday.
About the role: - Responsible for making sure that the plant runs efficiently on your shift and that we are optimising production with minimal downtime - Troubleshooting of electronic, automated, pneumatic and mechanical facilities - Provide ongoing maintenance to the plant conveyors and canning line machinery - Occasionally repairing various stainless equipment - Improving the reliability and performance of equipment - Ensuring all hazards are identified and appropriately controlled to allow all work to be undertaken in a manner consistent with health and safety best practice - Skills in communication to assist the production team to drive performance improvements

Job Requirements
About you: - A relevant qualification - At least 3 years’ experience in the maintenance field - Some skills and experience in any of the following fields would be very helpful: Consumer goods packaging Pneumatics, including cylinders Compressors, valves and actuators Automated robotic equipment setup and operation Canning seaming equipment setup and maintenance Vacuum transfer equipment including vacuum pumps and valves - Excellent troubleshooting skills - Experience with preventative maintenance and extensive use of CMMS - Ability to learn the operation and understanding of various machinery and equipment - A sound knowledge of all phases of maintenance operations within a food processing/manufacturing environment

- Plant runs from 4.00am – 11.00pm Mon – Fri. May need to work a weekend day to undertake routine/preventative maintenance. (40 hours per week)
