Support Worker Dunedin (Part Time Weekends)

Local employer is a leading provider of in-home and community-based health, rehabilitation, nursing, mental health and disability support. Aim is to support people to live as independently as possible, for as long as possible and to maintain their independence regardless of age, injury, illness or disability. Are you looking to make a real difference in your community? We are currently looking for empathetic and passionate Support Workers to work within and across our Community Services. If you are looking for flexibility around other commitments, we have casual options on offer. As part of a wider team, you will assist our clients to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help our clients to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. Responsibilities can be varied and you will follow a care plan, which may include some or all of the below:

Meal preparation Community outings and integration Giving medication Personal cares (showering, toileting etc) Home management

Seeking Community Support Workers who can work every weekend, between 7am and 7pm and willing to travel to Brockville ,Wakari , Roslyn, Kaikorai , Calton Hill, Mornington, Caversham ,Maori Hill, Maryhill as well as other areas if needed.

Attitude - a desire to help and support others, achieving excellence in all you do! Previous healthcare or care-giving experience is not required. Excellent communication skills This position requires Full/Restricted NZ drivers' licence and your own reliable transport.
